제주국제실험예술제(JIEAF)는 현시대의 다양한 실험적 행위들을 축제의 장으로 초대하는 순수예술 난장이다. 
2002년 ‘한국퍼포먼스 30년’을 주제로 시작하여 2019년 "예술, 생태에 스미다" 까지 18년을 이어오고 있는 한국에서 유일한 국제규모의 실험예술축제이다.
그동안 가장 전위적인 예술인 퍼포먼스아트를 중심으로 퍼포먼스의 대중화와 장르간 실험예술인들의 교류의 장을 만들어왔다.

2006년 이러한 공로를 인정받아 한국문화예술위원회 다원예술축제부문 ‘올해의 예술상’을 수상, 축제의 독창성과 가능성을 인정받는 계기가 되었다.

2007년부터는 해외퍼포먼스 작가들을 대거 초청하며 국제 규모의 예술축제로 발돋움 하였고, 2013년 축제 주최 단체인 KoPAS(한국실험예술정신)가 자연생태적 예술을 지향하며 제주로 이전하면서 축제의 명칭도 ‘한국실험예술정신(KEAF)’에서 지금의 ‘제주국제실험예술제(JIEAF)’로 변경하게 되었다. 
JIEAF는 실험정신을 바탕으로 실험예술의 생동하는 자유를 추구한다. 

2019년부터는 지속적으로 예술형식을 기반으로 생태와 접목된 프로그램을 진행하고자 한다.

The Jeju International Experimental Art Festival (JIEAF) is a forum of pure art inviting various experimental acts of the present age to a venue for the festival. 
It is the only international experimental arts festival in Korea, which continues for 18 years from the theme of ‘30 Years of Korean Performance’ as a start in 2002 to ‘Art, Soaks into Ecology’ in 2019.
Until now, it has been creating a venue for popularization of performance and exchange of experimental artists between genres, focusing on performance art that is the most avant-garde art.

In 2006, we received ‘the Art of the Year Award’ in the Korean Culture and Arts Council’s Dawon Arts Festival Section. It was an opportunity to get the credit for originality and potential of our festival.

Since 2007, the festival has become an international-scale Arts festival by inviting a large number of foreign performance artists, and as the host organization KoPAS(Korea Experimental Arts Spirit) moved to Jeju in 2013 because it aims natural and ecological arts, ‘Korea Experimental Arts Festival(KEAF)’ has also been changed the name to ‘Jeju International Experimental Arts Festival(JIEAF)’.
JIEAF pursues the animated freedom based  on the experimental spirit.
